Emanuel Synagogue owns and maintains a modern full-service mikvah, available to the entire Jewish community. Built in 1987, it has a volume of 600 gallons and occupies a 548-square-foot building next to the synagogue at 900 NW 47th Street in Oklahoma City.

Our mikvah was constructed under the supervision of Rabbi Asher Weil of Chicago, a specialist in mikvah construction, and meets all standards for health and ritual purity. If you are interested in arranging to use this facility, see Using Our Mikvah, below.

Emanuel Synagogue's mikvah.
It was funded by Aaron Slutsky as a tribute to his parents of blessed memory, Louis and Vera Gumer Slutsky.

The Emanuel Synagogue mikvah is in a separate building on the southwest side of the synagogue complex. It faces the south parking lot, entered off NW 46th Street (see Location for directions and a map).

To arrange to use the mikvah, call the synagogue office at (405) 528-2113 during office hours (9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday). Appointments to use the mikvah need to be made at least 24 hours in advance to allow for heating the water.

Use of the mikvah is open to any Jewish person and, by special arrangement, for conversions. Members of Emanuel Synagogue may use the mikvah free (though a donation is welcome). Non-members will be charged a modest fee to cover our expenses.

The mikvah has full bathing facilities but is not attended. Patrons will need to bring their own supplies such as soap and towels, and their own mikvah partner(s). If you have questions, the ever-helpful office staff can give you more details on how to proceed.
